We require a qualified individual to provide a variety of degree-related coordination and administrative services to the Degree Programs and Academic Pathways Consultant and degree program teams within Conestoga’s Academic Schools.


  • Supports degree program submission processes and program management updates and tracking
  • In consultation with the supervisor, coordinates the collection of relevant data, and produces a variety of business documents (reports/ appendices) to support the submission of new degree proposals or degree consent renewals to the Ministry and the Postsecondary Education Quality Assessment Board
  • Builds working relationships/consultation with stakeholders to compile and input information into program development and/or review templates
  • Develops positive relationships with Schools and service departments in degree-related activities and pathways/collaborative academic agreements
  • Provides timely responses to queries and reports regarding degree submission templates, content management systems, or relational databases
  • Creates correspondence using tact and discretion when dealing with stakeholders
  • Refers unusual problems to the supervisor
  • Uses own judgement and discretion in dealing with immediate and urgent issues
  • Works with the Information Technology department and supervisor to ensure new content management sites related to degrees and academic pathways are both effective and accurate
  • Advises on document management protocols and assists with the migration of data into repositories within appropriate content management systems
  • Ensures the databases developed incorporate links to appropriate documentation for easy user access
  • Provides IT support to program teams and support areas in regard to the creation, submission and approval processes, internal and external, of all proposed or renewed degree programs
  • Provides administrative assistance to the supervisor in preparation for degree submissions and/or site visits, including document formatting, printing materials, shipping, booking meetings/rooms, parking passes, food delivery, and other logistical requirements


  • Three year diploma/degree in Business Administration; Project Management; Public Administration; Public Policy; Communications or related field
  • Three years of experience in an administrative role within an office environment to include project management, advanced computer skills
  • Knowledge and experience in communications/policy related to regulatory or government bodies considered an asset
  • Ability to develop and use relational databases and/or content management systems (i.e. SharePoint)
  • Knowledge and/or experience related to training and/or professional development administration
  • Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office Suite at the intermediate or advanced level (i.e. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and the ability to learn new software
  • Ability to work accurately with extensive details
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently and within a team
