We require a qualified individual to provide reception and clerical support to assist office processes in Workforce Development and Part-time Studies.  Commencing January 2018, regular hours of work will be Monday to Thursday 2:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Fridays 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.   During orientation, the hours of work will be Monday to Friday during daytime office hours.   • Performing receptionist duties; providing information pertaining to general inquiries from staff, students and the public; refers non-routine enquiries to appropriate staff of the office/college.

• Administration of refunds, textbook adoptions and ordering, class cancellation procedures, room booking, course evaluation documentation

• Utilization of the student information system to upload program cohorts and course delivery sections as required

• Liaison responsibilities with the internal and external departments as directed

• Coordination of faculty access to college E-Systems including ID's, informs/acts as a liaison with faculty on college required training sessions (e.g., myConestoga, eConestoga, AODA, Occupational Health and Safety, etc.)

• Maintenance and editing of the digital and print presence for all programs/courses within the area’s deliverables

• Responding to the area’s enquiries including concerns and program/course delivery statuses

• Inputs non-routine program/course updates/changes as directed

• Scheduling appointments and meetings

• KPI metrics for full time full fee programs within this area

• Program Advisory Committee (PAC) assistance

• Student Appraisal of Teaching (SAT) coordination and implementation of processes for full time and part time studies programming

• Completing and revising program handbooks as required  


• Two year diploma in Office Administration

• Two years of experience in an office environment

• Knowledge of computers and software, i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, SharePoint

• Knowledge of student information systems  is considered an asset

• Knowledge of general office practices such as purchasing, inventory management, filing, copying, etc.
