Description:

Full-time support staff replacement position (averaging of hours applies)

Responsibilities:

We require a qualified individual to join the Marketing department student recruitment team with a focus on digital recruitment.

• Act as the lead in developing content, creating engagement and measuring effect in support of recruitment activity through digital channels (social media, website, gamification, online broadcast (Skype, Facebook Live)

• In collaboration with the Digital Marketing Strategist, coordinate and execute lead generation recruitment campaigns prospecting and nurturing leads derived from Conestoga’s website, the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) portal (ezRecruit), large career and education fairs, social media engagement, digital marketing campaigns and on- and off-campus event activity

• In adherence with social media best practices, develop content and coordinate social media posts to recruitment-targeted social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) and act as a resource to other liaison officers in support of their social media accounts

• In collaboration with members of the marketing team, coordinate the development of content (message) for CRM email campaigns related to student recruitment

• Coordinate the development of Conestoga’s recruitment presentation securing input from members of the recruitment team

• Generate reports from the CRM system assessing school visit recruitment activity and yields

• Assist with analytics and reporting of digital marketing campaign results

• Promote programs to prospective students; advise community partners, agencies and educational institutions

• Provide information regarding program types, requirements, offerings, locations and entrance requirements; college services, financial aid etc.

• Respond to requests for presentations from College departments, community partners/ government funded agencies and target groups

• Organize and engage College faculty and support services to deliver presentations, organize and participate in campus tours and speak to various student groups

• Act as the primary recruiter delivering on-campus presentations supporting Welcome Centre and Career Exploration recruitment events, dual-credit classes, SCWI, SWAC and ELS classes

• Provide campus tours for the Doon and Cambridge campuses

• Participate in relevant trade shows, career fairs, recruitment events both on and off-campus as well as online


Qualifications:

• Three year diploma/degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration, Communications or related field of study plus formal training in digital marketing/social media

• Three years practical experience in a marketing role involving advertising, promotion, digital/social media marketing, sales, public speaking, and presentations, preferably in a student-based environment

• High energy and enthusiasm

• Demonstrated ability to take initiative in seeking new opportunities and bring forward an action plan with minimal supervision

• Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects with conflicting deadlines

• Excellent presentation and customer service skills

• Excellent communication skills; both oral and written as well as a keen attention to detail

• Sophisticated problem-solving, analytical and evaluation skills

• Ability to work independently and as a team member

• Advanced computer skills and a natural affinity/curiosity for technology

• Demonstrated knowledge of the post-secondary education system with excellent knowledge of Conestoga College programs, services and admission procedures would be considered an asset

• Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools and processes is an asset

• Day, evening and weekend work is required to promote Conestoga College to potential students and the public with travel throughout the province of Ontario required

• Successful candidate must have a valid driver’s license, be willing to work flexible hours and travel both in and out of town
