Part-time casual support staff positions


We require casual bookstore clerks to assist with the Fall 2017 start-up bookstore sales.   Please highlight in your cover letter the campus or campuses you are applying for.  Hours may be at all campus stores including; Doon, Waterloo and Guelph.


• Responding to questions and concerns from Conestoga employees, students, and community

• Providing high quality customer service in an energetic, courteous manner

• Operating the cash register and Point of Sale Machine and issue receipts

• Processing Sales, Refunds, Sponsored Students, Fees, and Special Orders according to Retail Services policies and procedures

• Ensuring merchandise is displayed according to promotional standards

• Maintaining shelving units and tags in clean, organized, accurate and updated manner

• Ensuring stock is labelled, inventoried, organized, and restocked as required

• Assisting to ensure cashier wrap, walls, and floor area are clean, organized, and up to Retail Service standards


• Partial secondary school education

• Experience operating a cash register and handling numerous custom requests

• Point of Sale (POS) experience and a strong familiarity with technology associated with POS systems

• Six months customer service experience in a busy retail environment

• These are casual part-time positions (typically up to 24 hours per week with a possibility to increase to 35 hours/week during peak periods)

• Applicants must be available to work during the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday to Thursday and 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Fridays
