One year administration contract


Reporting to the Director of Co-op, Career and Work-Integrated Learning, we require a qualified individual to be responsible for the coordination of the development of an internal process to improve capacity to deliver and evaluate/verify current and future experiential learning (EL) via a Conestoga-specific framework.

• Conduct an internal review, with support from Information Technology, Institutional Research, Curriculum, and academic units, to define internal EL typology and how it applies to Conestoga programs

• Accelerate capacity by conducting curriculum/pedagogical consultation with existing programs to determine how/where to increase embedded EL

• Support the development of a system to monitor quantity and quality of EL through annual program review (APR) process

• Work with Curriculum, Institutional Research and Information Management Academic to report and track new EL-related course component definitions as documented in Student Information System (SIS)

• Investigate and adopt new EL student, course and program-level tracking and EL administration software and integrate with other Conestoga tools (SIS, HS Trax, CCR, etc.)

• Communicate best practices and project milestones

• Accountabilities to the project steering committee include: project management, meetings, reporting, etc.  


• Four year degree preferably in Education, Business, or other related field

• Master’s degree considered an asset

• Knowledge of the teaching and learning process in the post-secondary environment

• Experience or knowledge of work-integrated learning or experiential learning considered an asset

• Expertise in Project Management with PMP designation is preferred

• Experience working in the CAAT system is preferred

• Advanced computer literacy skills including competency with Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Project, Visio, PowerPoint

• Strong consultative skills, which include superior interpersonal skills

• Building trust, facilitating communication and co-operation across constituency groups

• Strong analytical and data analysis skills

• Proven ability to manage projects of varying scope

• Understanding how technology solutions fill business needs

• Ability to communicate business needs and translate into technical specification

• Preparing clear concise documentation and reports
