Administrative New Full-time Position


The Graduate Attribute Quality Assurance Officer is responsible for implementing, maintaining and updating a system of graduate attribute tracking for the engineering degree programs. The incumbent will collect and analyze data to support accreditation and continuous quality improvement. This role will also provide support and training to full and part-time faculty.

  • Develop an overall strategy and create long-term plans for graduate attribute (GA) mapping and data collection for the engineering degree programs
  • Work with the faculty to identify/define the indicators for the graduate attributes and develop a plan for evidence collection
  • Keep current in CEAB requirements and changes/developments in accreditation procedures; inform academic teams of any new or developing CEAB requirements or changes to accreditation processes
  • Establish and maintain relationships with GA Officers (or similar position) at other Canadian engineering schools in order to share best practices and remain current
  • Provide training to faculty in GA mapping, eConestoga implementation and required data collection
  • Provide guidance for writing and maintaining of course learning outcomes that align with GAs
  • Support faculty in the creation and customization of rubrics for GA assessment
  • Coordinate, create and maintain curriculum maps
  • Manage the collection of GA data including developing methods to assess learning, retrieve and track data and maintain database
  • Conduct quantitative data analysis, statistical manipulation and calculation according to statistical methods
  • Identify gaps in GA evidence and work with the academic team to fill the gaps
  • Compile and prepare reports, including narrative and statistical summaries, on graduate attributes and other CEAB metrics (AU, LU) as required for annual program reflections, continuous quality improvement and CEAB accreditation documentation and site visits
  • Create and deliver presentations on data assessment results and curriculum improvement progress
  • Attend and participate in program advisory committee (PAC) meetings
  • Work with the faculty to identify quality improvements and track their implementation
  • Plan and lead the annual program reflection for each engineering degree; complete the required documentation and submit to the Program Chair
  • Other duties as assigned 


  • Four year degree (Mathematics, Statistics or Engineering preferred)
  • Minimum of two years of work experience, preferably in a post-secondary educational institution
  • Must have sound knowledge of the Canadian Engineering Accreditation System or similar
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications with advanced skills in Excel
  • Demonstrated comfort and competence working with technology tools, e.g., learning management systems
  • A demonstrated understanding and respect for privacy of information
  • Self-directed, innovative, and demonstrates initiative
  • Strong organizational ability with close attention to details
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others
